This is an ongoing section of the web site to bring information about different places of interest in the area of the Mourne Mountains.
This photo was taken from Slievemeen above Rostrevor. The small village below is Killowen set on the shores of Carlingford Lough which is the large waterway in the middle that separates Northern Ireland from the Republic of Ireland.
Across the Lough & slightly to the left is the medieval town of Carlingford that is well worth a visit.
The mountain towering over the town of Carlingford is Slieve Foy/Sliabh Feá.
